Montejo (english everybody, oi mate it's tea o clock)

I didn't have anything to write about so my teacher told me to make a blog about my car, which is a Ford Mondeo Mk. 1 from 1996. I bought it about 4 weeks ago and I like driving the damn thing. The car is slow (16 valve 1.6 liter zetec engine) but it is better at moving and so much better to drive than the car before this (Nissan Almera N16 1.5 liter engine) When I got the car it had  nothing broken exept for a hole in the bottom of it which we already welded shut, now it's pretty much ready for it's MoT check and it should pass, if not it's because of the shock absorbers being shit.. they make an annoying sound everytime I hit a sharp pothole which most likely means they are breaking down. Anyway our teacher wanted some pictures of it so I took 2, hope you dont throw up blood because of it.

MOT Check

Checking your car for MOT is really simple, drive your car to the garage, test the brakes of your vehicle (if you have a brake dynamometer that is) then check all of your lights from the outside, first park lights, brake lights etc. test the horn on your car to see if it works, check that instrument warning lights are off after ignition, try to erase the faultmemory with a tester. Last but not least take an emission test to see if emission values are all okay.

Next drive the car to a car lift, and raise the car to about the height of your chest. Check that tire surfaces are okay (atleast 1.6mm on summer tier tires) and check that wheel bearings arent loose in any direction. Next check the fenders for rust, if they have none they are okay.

Then raise the car above your head so you can get under it. First you should check that exhaust system, no holes or such in it. Next check every hoses and fluid pipes for leaks, if they have none then they are okay. Check for oil leaks and then move to checking that any joints have no loose on them. Check that tie rods rubbers are intact, no holes or rips in them. Then check that tie rods isnt loose. Then check the chassis for any rust, holes etc. After that you can lower the car and if everything is okay you should be fine for MOT

Othethan renkula pois, othethan 17 millin hylsy, revithään jarrusatulan pultit poijjes (ne jotka kannattelee sitä satulaa) othethan 13 millin hylsy, revithään jarrusylinterin pultit (ne jotka on liukutappien "päällä") Sithen mäiskitähän jarrupalat hus pois noin, sithen etsitähän mieluisaa liukastetta (vaikka X1R koska X1R on elämä ja X1R on rakkaus) Painethan jarrua ja katsotaan että liikkuuko mäntä, no liikkuuhan se, no sitten painethaan lisää, sitten se on meleko hyvä ko jarrumännän suojakumi on kirreellä, sitte myö ruvetaan suhikoimaan liukastetta jarrumännän väliin, liukutappiloijen välliin, sitte myö taas tehhään tulikoe ja painellaan jarrua ja kattellahan liikkuuko paremmin, no liikkuuhan se, sittempä voipi ottaa vaekka hiekkapaperia ja ryykiä turhat ruosteet paloloilta ja levyn päältä mikäli sikäli semmosta on sinne kertynnä, asetonia voipi käyttöö jos siltä tuntuu (älä käytä, vaarallista ainetta kjeh) sitte myö tehhään kaikki toisinpäin ja jarruremontti ompi valmis.

Katsastustarkastus

Katsastustarkastus on hyvin simppeli, otetaan auto halliin, testataan jarrut mikäli hallissa on jarrudynamometria, tarkistetaan kaikkien valojen toimivuus ja ajovalojen suuntaukset, äänitorven toimivuus, varoitusvalot kojetaulussa ja vikakoodit testerillä. Myös turvavöiden toiminta katsotaan ja autosta voidaan ottaa pakokaasumittaus.

Seuraavaksi auto nostetaan ilmaan noin keskiruumiin korkeuteen ja katsotaan renkaiden urasyvyys, katsotaan ettei renkaissa ole laakerivälystä, ja tutkitaan lokasuojien kaaret ruosteen varalta.

Tämän jälkeen auto nostetaan kokonaan ylös ja aletaan tutkia pohjaa ja pakoputkea reikien/ ruosteen varalta. Muista tarkistaa öljypohja mahdollisen öljyvuodon varalta ja kaikki nesteputket nestevuotojen varalta. Seuraavaksi siirrytään tukivarsien välykseen, nivelet tutkitaan, katsotaan onko raidetangon ja vetarin kumit ehjät. Tämän jälkeen auto onkin pääasiallisesti tarkastettu katsastusta varten.

Ekkerin jarrut.

Saatiin halliin Ford Escort vuosimallia -74 johon pitää kunnostaa jarrut ja jotain muuta hommaa mitä ei olla vielä aloiteltu, itse ekkerihän on alapuolella.

Vaihdetaan ekkeriin jarrupalat, jarruputket letkut ja jarrusylinterit. Alapuolella kuvia osista:

Vaihdoimme jo taakse jarruputket ja kyseisestä kötöstyksestä tuli tämän näköinen:

Sitten laitoimme jarrusylinterit eteen ja taakse ja kuvat tulee taas alapuolelle:

Ekkeriin pitää vielä uusia raidetangon kumi ja luultavasti uusi pakoputki. Jatkuu seuraavassa osassa tai jotain sinnepäin.

Oyea (enklannin tehtävä)

So they destroy a "nice" BMW in the video, lovely little mash of a car. It's always nice to see a hazardous waste get taken care of. (Englannin tehtävä jeejee) Well i guess even a half blind can see what is going on so i think i dont need to tell that first they rip off the hood  and then preassured liquids fly straight out of the car and then they crush the thing to a little metal box.
